I have two weddings featured, that of Caroline Loomis and Jason Klein, whose dog Cholula was the official ring bearer; and the wedding of Sarah Paseltiner and Erik Cooper, whose chihuahuas were dressed for the occasion and provided essential moral support during the getting ready.

Wedding Dogs: A Celebration of Holy Muttrimony
I am thrilled to be included in this beautiful book, Wedding Dogs, by Katie Preston Toepfer, which celebrates the special doggie buddies that are so important to us we couldn't get married without them! This book features some incredible photography, and each photograph is accompanied by a heartfelt anecdote describing the roles that Scotty, Pepper, Baxter, and Codie played in their owners' Big Day!

Sandy SooHoo
Announcing a new member to my photography team! Sandy SooHoo has been working with me as a second shooter for the past two years. After seeing her produce inspiring images again and again, I knew she was a special talent. I am thrilled to say that she has now officially joined the Charlotte Jenks Lewis Photography team as an Associate Photographer! (With a name as memorable as Sandy SooHoo, how could I not?!)
Sandy's style is soft and thoughtful, with a splash of fun! She's an excellent observer- noticing gestures and body language that add depth to her imagery. Shooting a combination of digital and film, her favorite camera is her Hasselblaad X-Pan, an antique panoramic film camera perfect for capturing an entire scene.
Visit our site to view her complete Portfolio, and read more about her on our Team Page.
Sandy is now available for weddings. Book her while you can!

A man and his dog
I love this shot of my husband cuddling our then-puppy. This was in Nantucket a few summers ago. We had walked to the beach and were heading home at dusk. My husband said "she's tired," and then carried her the rest of the way.
This is taken with my panoramic camera on color 800, 35mm film.

Molly & Moody's Wedding on Style Me Pretty
It was a lot of fun to shoot the wedding of comedian Moody McCarthy this past fall! This groom gave a lovely toast to his bride- heartfelt, but simultaneously so hilarious the crowd was in two kinds of tears. And I have to thank them for braving the cold! It was worth it to get these lovely outdoor portraits. See more on Style Me Pretty today!

A Full Skirt
This is one of my favorite shots from all of last year. This bride was the daughter of the President of Columbia University, and her wedding reception was at the President's mansion on the university campus. Here she is walking up the steps from Morningside Park after we had taken all of the family portraits. I love how her full skirt hangs, how her bouquet hangs at her side, and how her groom is turned in towards her, making sure she's alright.
Clients always ask me if I stage things, but I really don't. I just try to put people into beautiful spaces and after that I just pay attention;).
Her dress is Amsale, and this shot is taken with my antique Rolleiflex, black and white film, HP5.
