Shooting weddings takes you to many beautiful places! My mother is from the Rhode Island originally, so hydrangea bushes, sailboats, and white seashell driveways always make me feel a little nostalgic for the visits we used to make to my grandparents in the summer. I like to think I've absorbed the New England aesthetic to some extent.
What I love about this shot is that it really captures the place, and all of the elements of the shot fit together so nicely. The slight curve of the bride's skirt mimics the slight bow in the bridge behind her. The bride and groom's heads are perfectly framed against the water. The groom is turned towards her as they walk together, and you can see the sincerity in his body language.
Shot with my Contax 645, 400 Portra film.
